There is a bridge that crosses the creek, but it is near the picnic area on the east side of highway 101, not really close to the beach. They'll make it easier to cross the creek at the level of the beach. If you have them, I'd recommend taking either knee high waterproof boots, or shorts and water shoes, depending on the weather.
Since it is fairly sheltered, it isn't nearly as windy as many of the other beaches on the Oregon coast. We love to take our dog down to let him run on the beach. The park and picnic area on the east side of highway 101 is pretty, with lots of big shady trees. The rock formation is pretty, and fun to explore, but again, it's not very big. The beach is beautiful, but not particularly large. To be clear, this is not a place to spend the whole day. At least once a month we make the thirty minute drive from our place to Fogarty Creek. We have a weekend place on the Oregon coast, and probably spend every other weekend there, on average.
